In recent years Ross has been active in Computer Science research (UK and West Indies), has lectured in Computer Science and Management (West Indies) and has been a freelance contractor across the UK. He is active in a number of open source projects and is a member of the Apache Software Foundation. Ross is particularly interested in the development of a healthy community for open source projects.
